Effective September 17, 2026
Welcome to KEH-TECH (keh-tech.net), a knowledge base, news site and community forum run by Karl E. Henry (“we”, “us”) as a personal project. By using the site or creating an account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who can use the site
Anyone can read the site. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if that is higher. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used it. One person, one account.
2. Community rules
The forum works because people are generous with what they know. When you post, you agree to:
- Be civil. Disagree with ideas, not people. No harassment, hate speech, threats or personal attacks.
- Stay on topic and be helpful. Search before you ask, describe your problem clearly, and come back to say what fixed it.
- Protect secrets. Never post passwords, keys, tokens, internal hostnames or other people’s personal data. Scrub logs and screenshots first.
- No spam. No advertising, affiliate links, link dropping or self-promotion that is not a genuine answer to the discussion.
- Nothing illegal or harmful. No malware, pirated software or license keys, and no instructions meant to break into systems you do not own or have permission to test. Security topics are welcome when they are about defending and understanding systems.
- Post only what you have the right to share. Do not paste copyrighted articles, paid course material or confidential company documents.
- Do not disrupt the site. No scraping at a rate that burdens the server, no attempts to get around moderation or security controls, and no impersonating others.
3. Moderation
Posts from new members are held for approval until a few have been accepted. Moderators may edit, move, close or remove any content, and may suspend or close any account, when they believe these terms have been broken or the community is being harmed. We try to be fair and to explain decisions, but moderation decisions are ours to make. If you think we got one wrong, use the contact form.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give KEH-TECH a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and distribute that content as part of running and promoting the site, including after you leave, so that discussions remain complete. You confirm that you have the right to post it. You can ask us to remove your posts, and we will do what we reasonably can; quotes of your posts in other members’ replies may remain.
5. Our content
Articles, guides, the site design and the KEH-TECH name and logo belong to us unless stated otherwise. You are welcome to link to anything, quote short passages with credit, and use scripts and commands from the knowledge base in your own work. Please do not republish whole articles or present our content as your own.
6. Technical information is used at your own risk
Everything on KEH-TECH, whether written by us or by members, is general information shared in good faith. It is not professional advice and it is not tailored to your environment. Commands, scripts and configuration changes can cause outages or data loss. Read and understand anything before you run it, test it outside production, keep backups, and follow your own organisation’s change control. You are solely responsible for what you do with information from this site.
KEH-TECH is an independent personal project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any employer of its operator or members, or by Microsoft or any other vendor whose products are discussed. Product names are trademarks of their owners. Opinions are those of the people who post them.
7. Links to other sites
The site links to other websites and tools that we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, email contact@keh-tech.net or use the contact form and choose “Copyright or content complaint”. Tell us what the work is, where it appears on KEH-TECH (the page address), how to reach you, and include a statement that you are the owner or are authorised to act for the owner and that the information is accurate. We will review the complaint and remove infringing material. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be closed.
9. Closing accounts
You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections 4, 6, 10 and 11 continue to apply after an account is closed.
10. No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available, that content is correct or current, or that it is free of errors or harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, KEH-TECH and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits or business, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content, even if we were told such damage was possible. The site is free to use; if we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to US $50. Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. We will change the effective date above and announce significant changes in the forum. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. Contact
Questions about these terms: contact@keh-tech.net or the contact form.
