Activation
- 0xC004F074 The computer couldn't activate because every KMS host it tried returned an error or couldn't be reached.
- 0x8007232B The KMS client couldn't find the KMS host's SRV records in DNS.
Email delivery
- 550 5.1.1 The receiving mail system couldn't find a mailbox for the address you sent to.
- 550 5.1.10 Exchange Online looked up the recipient's SMTP address and found no matching recipient.
- 550 5.7.1 A security setting on your side or the recipient's side stopped the message: you aren't allowed to send to that recipient, or the server won't relay it.
- 550 5.7.520 An automatic forward to an outside address was blocked by the outbound spam filter policy.
- 550 5.4.1 The receiving server rejected the address, usually because Directory Based Edge Blocking found no such recipient, or because the server doesn't accept mail for that domain.
- 5.2.2 In Exchange Online, 5.2.2 means the sender went over the recipient rate limit or the message rate limit.
- 5.7.57 A printer, scanner or app tried to send through smtp.office365.com without signing in successfully.
- 550 5.7.509 The message's From domain failed DMARC checks, and that domain's DMARC policy tells receivers to reject failures.
Network
- VPN error 809 Windows couldn't establish the VPN connection because the remote server didn't respond, usually because something between you and the server blocks VPN traffic.
Printing
- 0x00000709 Windows error 1801 (0x709) means the printer name is invalid: Windows couldn't resolve or open the printer you asked for.
- 0x00000bcb Windows error 3019 (0xBCB) means the printer driver isn't on this computer and needs to be downloaded.
Sign-in
- AADSTS50126 The username or password entered doesn't match what Microsoft Entra ID has.
- AADSTS50053 The account is temporarily locked after too many wrong sign-ins, or the sign-in came from an IP address with malicious activity.
- AADSTS50055 The user's password has expired, so the sign-in or session was ended.
- AADSTS50057 The account is disabled, so it can't sign in.
- AADSTS50076 A Conditional Access policy, per-user MFA or a new sign-in location means the user must complete MFA for this resource.
- AADSTS50079 The user must use MFA but hasn't registered any security info yet, so they need to set it up first.
- AADSTS53003 A Conditional Access policy blocked this sign-in, so no token was issued.
- AADSTS53000 Conditional Access requires a compliant device, and this device isn't enrolled or doesn't meet the compliance policy.
- AADSTS50105 The app requires user assignment, and this user isn't assigned to it directly or through a group.
Windows
- 0x80070005 A general "access denied" error: the process doesn't have permission to the file, registry key or action it needs.
- 0xC000006A In a 4625 failed sign-in event, 0xC000006A means the username was right but the password was wrong.
- 0xC0000234 In a 4625 failed sign-in event, 0xC0000234 means the account is locked out, so the sign-in was refused.
Windows Update
- 0x800f081f Windows couldn't find the source files it needs for the update or feature, usually because the component store is damaged.
- 0x80073712 A file Windows Update needs is likely damaged or missing.
- 0x800f0922 The update failed to install: often the PC couldn't reach the Windows Update servers, or the System Reserved partition is too full.
- 0x80070422 Windows Update can't run because its service is stopped or disabled.
- 0xC1900101 An error starting with 0xC1900101 means a Windows feature update or upgrade rolled back, usually because of a driver.
